Billwright – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Billwright app (“the App”) handles your information. Billwright is designed to be a local, offline job and invoice tracker for small businesses, contractors, and self-employed users.

In plain language: Billwright does not run ads, does not require a network connection for daily use, and your business data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

3. Where and how your data is stored

3.1 On-device storage

Billwright stores your data locally on your device, using the app’s private storage (and/or local databases such as SQLite / DataStore / similar mechanisms, depending on the current version). Under normal use, this data is not automatically sent to any external server controlled by us.

When you export a file, you choose where that file is saved (for example, local storage, removable SD card, external drive, cloud storage, email, or other apps/services). Any data that leaves the App via export or sharing is under your control and subject to the privacy and security practices of the destination you choose (for example, your cloud provider or email service).

When you import data, the App will read the file you select and apply the information to your local data according to the import options you choose (such as merging with existing data or replacing it, if such options are provided).

4. Network use and third-party services

4.1 No network required for daily use

Billwright is designed so that daily usage (viewing, adding, and editing your customers, jobs, and invoices) does not require an internet connection.

4.2 Google Play Store and Google Play Billing

If you install Billwright from the Google Play Store, Google may collect device and account information in accordance with its own policies. You can review Google’s practices in their own Privacy Policy.

If the App offers in-app purchases, they are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment card details. Payment processing and associated personal data are handled by Google or your payment provider under their terms and policies.

4.3 No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs

Billwright does not include built-in third-party advertising networks, and it does not embed third-party analytics SDKs for tracking your behavior across apps.

At this time, we do not operate a cloud sync service for Billwright. We therefore do not keep copies of your business data on our own servers as part of normal app usage.

We design Billwright so that your business data stays on your device, which reduces exposure to remote breaches. However, no system is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or in applicable laws. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of Billwright after a revised Privacy Policy has been posted means you accept the updated Policy.
